Zip Tie Gopro mount: Quick review

Recently, I 3D printed a zip tie GoPro mount from Thingiverse for my 250 racer. This Particular model was made by TMORIS9 and you can find it by clicking here. The overall design was fantastic and was able to be printed quite strongly using only 25% infill.

I used:

PLA printing filiment
CURA 3d slicer program
Prusa Mendel iiiP 3d printer

Settings:

I would highly recommend printing this model (and most others) on a raft type platform. This helps the printer get flowing before starting the actual print and preventing the object itself from sticking to the build plate. Just follow along with the settings in these settings, and you will most likely end up with a camera platform that is both strong and light.

Final thoughts:

This is a great 3D project for anyone who needs to secure their GoPro camera! All you need to have in order to complete this project is the GoPro case and knob that tightens the base. Other than that, this 3D printable project is ready to put on your quad immediately after printing!

Upcoming posts

There have not been many posts on this blog for a while, but I thought I should let you guys know what to expect in the coming months: First of all, I recently purchased the Prusa Mendel IIIp 3d printer. You should be expecting some tips and tricks on what and what not to print (and what settings to use). Also, I have started building the FT Explorer, so you should be seeing a review of that coming soon. Stay tuned for the many posts that will be coming in January and all throughout the rest 2016!
